Revelation 3:20

Have you ever considered the fact that nothing makes sense outside of a relationship with God? It is only through a relationship with God that we get a sense of what is right and what is good. Without that we are left to our own devices to determine for ourselves what is right and what is good. Outside of God's righteous standards the actions of Adolph Hitler and Mother Teresa are morally equivalent. You have to decide for yourself whether there is a God or not and if so, whether or not the Bible is true.

But, the Bible is true, beginning to end. You see, in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. God created man in His own image, a spiritual being. But man disobeyed God and in that disobedience man broke that close and intimate relationship with God. That decision to disobey God became part of the nature of man and a chasm was created between man and God that could not be bridged. That disobedience is called sin. Romans 3:23 says “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”.

While man could not bridge that chasm, God could. Jesus came to die for our sins so that the righteousness of God could be satisfied. Our sin deserves to be punished. But Jesus, in His great love for us, took that punishment. Romans 6:23 says “The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus or Lord” and Romans 5:8 says “But God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us”.

And while all of that was done for us, it still takes an act on our behalf to accept that gift. Romans 10:9 says “That if you confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Once you make that commitment to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can depend on God to sustain you. Romans 8:38-39 says “I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principles, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

God is passionately in love with you. He is constantly pursuing and wooing you. He will go to any length to bring you into relationship with Him. If you have never accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of your soul, then I invite you to receive Him now. Just pray the following prayer

Dear Jesus, I know that I have made a mess of my life and I am ready to begin anew with You. Please come into my life. I believe that You came into this world and that You died for my sin. I believe that You rose from the dead and that You now sit at the right-hand of the Father. I ask You now to fill me with Your Holy Spirit that I might enjoy a closer, more intimate relationship with You. I thank You for restoring me to the Father. Amen.

If you prayed to receive Jesus Christ into your life, we would really like to hear about it. Drop us a line and tell us how God is working in your heart.
